Nine Going Strong

We lost the second runt this morning. I had marked him yesterday so I could keep track of whether or not he had been fed. After a day and a half, I tried to get him to latch onto Clementine with no avail. Yesterday it was obvious he was not going to make it. A sad truth we are learning in animal husbandry… they won’t all live.

But in happy news, the nine surviving kits are developing some great colors.

If you look in this picture you’ll see a white, a lilac (?), a chocolate, and another white kit.

That brings our estimated colors to: 3 chocolates, 1 lilac, and 5 ruby-eyed whites. We will know everyone’s color for sure, hopefully, by Thursday.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! I had to show off these cute pictures I had my mom take of Thistle and Cami. I animal wrangled and she toddler wrangled. This was actually really fun because Thistle is Cami’s favorite rabbit. So much so that every little rabbit stuffed animal, figurine, picture, cartoon, or commercial character she sees is named “Sistdle Boy”. Rightfully I’m sure. Anyway, we hope everyone has good food, happy family, and no egg hunt tears on this Easter morn’.
